SCIAPS

SciAps, Inc., is a Boston-based instrumentation company specializing in portable analytical
instruments. Our mission is to provide durable, field-tested, portable instruments to identify
any compound, any mineral, any element — anyplace on the planet.

Z-Series

Z-901

Z-901

General alloy testing for scrap sorting, PMI/NDT or quality
assurance. Does not measure carbon.
Z-901CSi

Z-901 CSi

Analyzes carbon and silicon only. The perfect complement to your
XRF.

Z-901Li

Z-901 Li

Purpose built for lithium in soils, ores and rocks.

Z-902+

Z-902+

The Z-902 + features an all-new ergonomic design, a 0.5 lb. weight
reduction down to about 3.5 lbs. (1.6 kg), improved heat
dissipation, and completely updated software and processing
electronics.

The Z-902 + also leads the way featuring the first-ever “dual burn”
technology. Users can test with the Z-902 + either using an “air
burn” method or using argon-purge for applications requiring higher
precision and lower limits of detection.

Z-902 Carbon

Z-902 Carbon

Identification of stainless steels and low alloy steels, including
carbon analysis down to 70 ppm and instant CE (carbon equivalents)
calculations.

Powerful laser, on-board argon purge and high resolution
spectrometer are built for carbon.

Narrow profile for accessing the tightest spaces, aerospace-grade
aluminum body for improved performance in high ambient
temperatures, and re-designed user-interface. The most usable
platform on the market, at only 4.35 lbs. (1.97 kg).

Z-903

Z-903

The Z-903 accomplishes what no other portable analyzer has done.
It’s a handheld analyzer that measures every element in the
periodic table of the elements – from H to U.

It uses the same powerful laser as SciAps other Z-900 models, but
with an extended spectrometer range from 190 nm out to 950 nm.

X-Series

X-50

X-50

Our most economical model. Great basic analysis of transition and
heavy metals. 40 kV, Rh anode (alloy) or Au anode (Geochem, Soil,
others). 7 mm2 PIN diode, standard DPP, 15k cps, 50% live.

‍Alloys: Basic sorting of SS, high temps and red metals. Only sort Al
alloys by MLCs, 2000s and 7000s.

X-200

X-200

Offers comparable speed/precision as top of the line competing
brands, at a lower price point, in a smaller, lighter package. 40 kV,
Rh anode (alloy) or 50 kV Au anode (Geochem, Soil, others). 20
mm2 standard SDD and DPP. 125k cps, > 90% live.

‍Alloys: Best value where aluminum sorting is daily but not the
major focus. Requires a 2nd beam test of 8-10s for Mg at 0.8% in Al
base. Requires 5-6 second Beam 2 test time for Al, Si, S and P.
Requires 15-20 seconds to measure 0.3-0.5% Mg in grades such
6063 or 356 or 3004.

‍Geochem, Soils: Offers comparable precision, limits of detection
and elemental range of other leading XRF brands, but in a lighter
weight package, and at a lower price point.

X-505

X-505

The Sitescan D-50 offers the end user an entry level broadband flaw
detector in the popular and portable casing of the established D-
Series; with a full VGA display, a 50nS (Spike) 200V, a Pulser 0.5dB
gain resolution and an optional rubber boot

X550

X-550

The X-505 or other handheld XRF analyzers, the measured
intensities from Mg, Al, Si, P and S (plus K, Ca and Cl in other apps)
are 3x higher, producing 3x faster measurements with the X-550.
